About
This summer, The Maker Shop is launching week-long maker workshops for middle school students at the Astoria Woodworkers Collective in Queens.
Programs are designed and taught by a New York State Certified Technology Education teacher with 16 years of experience teaching architecture, industrial design, woodworking, fabrication, and digital design.
Students will work with real tools, real materials, and modern fabrication technology in a hands-on workshop environment.
Experiences emphasize creativity, craftsmanship, problem-solving, and tactile learning through authentic projects.
Enrollment is intentionally capped at 8 students per session to create a highly supportive, studio-style environment.
Workshop tuition includes all materials and project supplies.
